How to Remove Your Jeep Wipers - Service Mode

Applies to: Renegade (2014+), Compass (2017+), Avenger (2023+), Wrangler (2018+)

On many Jeep models, the wipers park beneath the bonnet edge. Do not force the arms upwards. Put them into service mode first, then they are easy to reach.

How to Activate Jeep Wiper Service Mode

  1. Switch your auto wiper feature to manual mode using the wiper stalk.
  2. Turn your car off.
  3. Immediately hold the wiper stalk DOWN for about 3 seconds. The wipers will lift to a vertical service position.
  4. You can now change the blades.
  5. To lower the wipers again, turn the car on and activate the wipers once.

Just one quick check

The Jeep Wrangler is an exception, its wiper system is accessible without service mode activation due to its flat windscreen design. The wiper arm lifts directly away from the glass. The Renegade pre-2019 facelift also allows direct access without a service mode sequence.

Make Sure the Blades Fit

Wiper sizes and fittings can change between versions of the same model. Enter your registration and we'll match your car with the correct front and rear blades.

We’ll also send the fitting video and any service-mode steps your car needs. Open the box and you’re ready to go.
