How to Remove Your Hyundai Wipers - Service Mode

Applies to: i10 (2020+), i20 (2020+), i30 (2017+), Tucson (2021+), Santa Fe (2019+), Ioniq 5, Ioniq 6

On many Hyundai models, the wipers park beneath the bonnet edge. Do not force the arms upwards. Put them into service mode first, then they are easy to reach.

How to Activate Hyundai Wiper Service Mode

  1. Turn your car on, then turn it off.
  2. Push the wiper stalk UP and hold it for 3 seconds. The wipers will move from beneath the bonnet to a vertical service position.
  3. You can now change the blades.
  4. To lower the wipers again, turn the car on and activate the wipers once.

Just one quick check

The Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6 electric models follow the same sequence. The vehicle does not need to be fully powered on, the accessory mode is sufficient for the sequence to work on some variants.

Make Sure the Blades Fit

Wiper sizes and fittings can change between versions of the same model. Enter your registration and we'll match your car with the correct front and rear blades.

We’ll also send the fitting video and any service-mode steps your car needs. Open the box and you’re ready to go.
